Overview

PTE Academic is widely recognized by universities in the USA, UK, and Australia, among others. It is a computer-based exam that assesses real-world English language proficiency in academic settings. Throughout the test, candidates will encounter a variety of accents and academic language typically used in higher education institutions in English-speaking countries.

Test Modules

PTE Academic Test Structure

The test is conducted in a single session lasting approximately 2 hours and includes a 1-minute personal introduction at the start. The test is divided into three timed sections:

Test Scores

• Availability: Test scores are typically accessible online within 5 business days of taking the test.

• Reporting: Test takers can send scores to any number of institutions for free.

• Processing Time: Selected institutions can usually access the scores online within 48 hours of reporting.

  Speaking & Writing(54- 67mins)- Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Answer Short Question, and Summarize Written Text, Essay

  Reading(30mins)- Fill in the Blanks, (Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer), Re-order Paragraphs, (Multiple Choice, Single Answer)

  Listening(30mins)-Summarize Spoken Text, (Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers), Fill in the Blanks, Highlight Correct Summary, (Multiple Choice, Single Answer), Select Missing Word, Highlight Correct Words, Write From Dictation
