University of Wollongong (UOW) is a prestigious Australian public research university located in Wollongong, New South Wales, approximately 80 km south of Sydney. Established in 1951 and gaining independence in 1975, UOW has grown into a globally recognized institution known for its academic excellence and innovation.
The main campus spans over 82 hectares and is complemented by regional campuses in Bega, Batemans Bay, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, Liverpool, and Sydney CBD. The university hosts over 33,000 students, including more than 12,300 international students from over 150 countries.
